Specialist Care in Mobile Clinics

Specialist care in conflict affected areas of Ukraine

Specialists visiting conflict-affected communities in Ukraine

The project has been supporting Ministry of Health (MoH) specialist doctors to provide clinical consultations within their respective areas of expertise in locations visited by mobile medical teams. To strengthen the quality of care and ensure access to specialized services in remote and conflict-affected communities, the project provided incentives to cardiologists, endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, and gynecologists who joined mobile teams based on referrals from mobile team doctors.

Through this approach, the specialists have managed a range of critical health conditions, including coronary artery disease (CAD), cardiac arrhythmias, type 1 diabetes, thyroid disorders, hearing loss, eye diseases, and vision impairments. In addition, gynecologists provided sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, including breast and cervical cancer screening, as well as case management and referral (CMR) for survivors of gender-based violence.
