WASH FIT

About UHARP

The project has been leading on the national level in the implementation of two international programs developed by the WHO and UNICEF:

  1. The Mental Health Gap Action Program (mhGAP), implemented under the leadership of the MHPSS department, has successfully trained over 1,000 health workers, strengthening their capacity to detect, manage, and refer individuals with mental health conditions within primary healthcare settings.
  2. The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Facility Improvement Tool (WASH FIT) is a standardized assessment framework developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF to help healthcare facilities systematically assess, prioritize, and improve their WASH services.

The project has contributed to the adoption of the WASH FIT framework on the national level by aligning over 100 indicators with national standards and guidelines.
