Cyclone

A large-scale atmospheric system characterized by low pressure and strong winds that rotate counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. Depending on the region, it is called a cyclone (Indian Ocean and South Pacific), hurricane (western Atlantic and eastern Pacific), or typhoon (western Pacific).
