Sustainability evaluates whether an activity or its effects can persist after external funding ends. While many humanitarian interventions are not intended to be sustainable like development projects, they must still be assessed for how they consider long-term implications while addressing urgent needs. This concept is also known as connectedness, ensuring that short-term emergency actions account for broader, ongoing challenges.
