Development through Local Integration (DLI)

A strategy for protracted refugee situations in which the host state facilitates the gradual inclusion of refugees into local communities. It rests on the premise that refugees who cannot return home and choose to stay can find a durable solution through local integration, supported by their inclusion in national development frameworks.
