Hydrometeorological Hazards

Hydrometeorological hazards are natural events originating from atmospheric, hydrological, or oceanographic processes that can lead to loss of life, injury, property damage, social and economic disruption, or environmental degradation. Examples include floods, debris flows, tropical cyclones, storms, storm surges, drought, desertification, wildfires, temperature extremes, permafrost changes, and avalanches.
