The Clash of Civilisations is a theory proposing that post-Cold War global conflicts will primarily arise from cultural and religious differences between major civilizations, rather than ideological or economic factors. While influential, the concept has been critiqued for oversimplifying complex conflicts, as most contemporary wars occur within, not between, civilizations.
