Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

A regional inter-governmental organization promoting political, economic, and security collaboration among Southeast Asian nations, ASEAN has been instrumental in advancing Asian economic and political integration. It has also spearheaded negotiations among Pacific-Asian countries to establish one of the world’s largest free trade areas.
