Solidarity Fund PL
Organization: Solidarity Fund PL (Polish Development Agency)
About
Solidarity Fund PL was established in 2015 as a development cooperation organization applying Poland’s experience in political and economic transformation to partner countries, primarily in Eastern Europe. Managed by the Polish Development Fund group, it implements programmes on behalf of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other clients, focusing on democracy, economic development, civil society, and education.
Given Poland’s geographic proximity and deep historical ties to Ukraine, Solidarity Fund PL has been one of the most actively engaged development actors since 2022. It has funded community recovery, education continuity, civil society resilience, health access, and municipal recovery projects in Ukraine, operating both directly and through Polish and Ukrainian partner organizations. Poland has also been a major host country for Ukrainian refugees, which shapes the Solidarity Fund’s dual-track engagement on refugee integration in Poland and recovery in Ukraine.
Solidarity Fund PL is a Polish government-affiliated development agency implementing Poland’s ODA, with a particular focus on Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership region. It finances development projects, humanitarian assistance, and civil society support, drawing on Poland’s own post-communist transformation experience.
Ukraine Commitment
Solidarity Fund PL has been among the most operationally active development actors in Ukraine from Poland, funding community recovery projects, education, health, civil society support, and reconstruction assistance particularly in areas close to the Polish border and across central Ukraine.
