About

About Us

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, is a public-private partnership dedicated to expanding access to life-saving vaccines and protecting children from some of the world’s deadliest diseases. By bringing together governments, international organizations, vaccine manufacturers, civil society, philanthropic foundations, and private sector partners, Gavi helps strengthen immunization systems and improve global health.

Since its establishment in 2000, Gavi has supported the immunization of more than 1.2 billion children in 78 lower-income countries, preventing an estimated 20.6 million future deaths and contributing to significant reductions in child mortality. In addition to expanding vaccine access, Gavi strengthens health systems and supports global vaccine stockpiles for diseases such as Ebola, cholera, meningococcal disease, and yellow fever, helping countries prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
