Organization: World Relief
About
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization that partners with local churches to serve the most vulnerable. Founded in 1944, its mission is to empower local communities to overcome poverty, violence, and injustice through sustainable development and emergency response.
In Ukraine, World Relief has been active since 2014, focusing on protection, psychosocial support, and livelihood assistance for conflict-affected populations. They work through local partners to provide winterization aid, shelter repairs, and cash assistance to vulnerable families.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, World Relief has scaled up its emergency response, reaching over 100,000 people with food, hygiene kits, and mental health support. Their programs prioritize women, children, and the elderly, ensuring a dignified and holistic approach to humanitarian aid.
