Organization: Women in Tech
About
Women in Tech is a global non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and promoting women’s empowerment through education, mentorship, and advocacy. Founded in 2018, the organization operates in over 30 countries, aiming to inspire and equip women and girls with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in STEM fields.
In Ukraine, Women in Tech has been active since 2022, focusing on supporting women affected by the war through digital skills training, entrepreneurship programs, and psychological support. The organization partners with local NGOs and tech companies to provide online courses, career counseling, and networking opportunities, particularly for internally displaced women and those in conflict-affected regions.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, Women in Tech has launched emergency response initiatives, including a dedicated platform for job matching and upskilling for displaced women. The organization has reached over 5,000 women in Ukraine, helping them gain economic independence and resilience amidst the crisis.
