About
Voice of Romni is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering Roma communities and advocating for their rights. Founded on principles of equality and social justice, the organization works to combat discrimination, promote inclusion, and improve the living conditions of Roma people across Europe and beyond.
In Ukraine, Voice of Romni has been active since 2014, focusing on the protection and integration of Roma internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected populations. The organization runs programs in education, health, livelihoods, and legal aid, with a particular emphasis on women and children. They operate in several regions, including Kyiv, Lviv, and Zakarpattia, providing community centers and mobile services.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, Voice of Romni has scaled up its emergency response, delivering humanitarian aid, shelter, and psychosocial support to Roma families. The organization has reached over 10,000 beneficiaries, advocating for the inclusion of Roma in national and local humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
