About
UK-Med is a UK-based international humanitarian medical charity that provides emergency medical assistance in crises worldwide. Founded in 1988, it is a registered NGO and a member of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT) network, mandated to deliver life-saving healthcare in disasters and conflicts.
In Ukraine, UK-Med has been operational since 2022, deploying mobile medical teams and supporting health facilities in frontline and hard-to-reach areas. Its programs focus on primary healthcare, trauma care, and mental health support, working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and local organizations.
Since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, UK-Med has provided over 100,000 medical consultations, trained local healthcare workers, and delivered essential medicines and equipment. Its rapid response has been critical in areas with disrupted health services, ensuring continued access to care for vulnerable populations.
