Organization: The Tenth of April
About
The Tenth of April is a Ukrainian civic organization dedicated to protecting the rights and dignity of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected populations. Founded in 2014, its mission is to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance, advocate for policy change, and promote social integration of vulnerable groups in Ukraine.
In Ukraine, the organization implements programs in protection, shelter, livelihoods, health, education, and food security. It operates primarily in eastern and southern regions, including Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts, delivering aid through mobile teams, community centers, and partnerships with local authorities.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, The Tenth of April has scaled up emergency response, reaching over 100,000 people with multi-purpose cash assistance, legal aid, psychosocial support, and shelter repairs. Its work has been recognized for its rapid deployment and focus on the most vulnerable, including the elderly, persons with disabilities, and female-headed households.
