About

Terre des Hommes (TDH) is a leading international children’s rights organization founded in 1960, dedicated to ensuring the well-being and protection of children worldwide. Its mission is to promote children’s rights, combat child exploitation, and provide emergency relief and development aid to vulnerable children and their communities.

In Ukraine, Terre des Hommes has been active since 2014, focusing on child protection, education, health, and livelihoods. The organization works in eastern and southern Ukraine, providing psychosocial support, safe learning spaces, and emergency cash assistance to conflict-affected families. TDH also supports child-friendly spaces and mobile teams to reach children in hard-to-access areas.

Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, Terre des Hommes has scaled up its emergency response, reaching over 200,000 children and caregivers with protection services, mental health support, and winterization assistance. The organization continues to adapt its programs to meet the evolving needs of displaced and war-affected children across Ukraine.
