SOLETERRE

Soleterre is an Italian non-profit organization founded in 2001, dedicated to promoting peace and human rights through access to healthcare, education, and psychosocial support. Its global mission is to protect the right to health and education for vulnerable populations, particularly children and women affected by conflict, poverty, and disease.

In Ukraine, Soleterre has been active since 2014, initially focusing on providing medical and psychological support to internally displaced persons and children affected by the conflict in the eastern regions. Its programs include rehabilitation of war-wounded children, psychosocial support for families, and training for local healthcare professionals.

Since the escalation of the war in February 2022, Soleterre has scaled up its emergency response, delivering medical supplies, supporting hospitals, and providing mental health services to thousands of children and families. Its impact includes the establishment of a rehabilitation center for war victims and continuous advocacy for the protection of children’s rights in conflict zones.
