Organization: Sign of Hope International e.V.

About

Sign of Hope International e.V. is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to helping people in need regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation. Founded in Germany, its global mission is to provide emergency relief and sustainable development assistance, promoting human dignity and self-reliance. The organization operates in over 20 countries, focusing on the most vulnerable populations affected by conflict, natural disasters, and poverty.

In Ukraine, Sign of Hope has been active since 2014, initially supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected communities in the eastern regions. Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, the organization expanded its programs to include emergency shelter, cash assistance, psychosocial support, and access to clean water and healthcare. Its footprint covers both government-controlled areas and frontline communities, with a particular emphasis on reaching elderly, women, and children.

Since 2022, Sign of Hope has reached over 100,000 beneficiaries in Ukraine through multi-sectoral emergency response. Key achievements include the distribution of winterization kits, provision of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services, and rehabilitation of damaged water infrastructure. The organization continues to adapt its programs to meet evolving needs, such as supporting collective centers and facilitating access to education for displaced children.
