Responsible Citizens is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable development and humanitarian action. Founded on principles of accountability and local ownership, the organisation works globally to strengthen civil society, promote human rights, and enhance resilience in crisis-affected regions.

In Ukraine, Responsible Citizens has been active since 2014, focusing on protection, livelihoods, and education. Programs include psychosocial support for conflict-affected populations, vocational training for internally displaced persons, and community-based rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure. The organisation operates primarily in eastern and southern Ukraine, partnering with local authorities and volunteer groups.

Since the escalation of conflict in 2022, Responsible Citizens has scaled up emergency response, providing shelter materials, winterization kits, and cash assistance to over 50,000 individuals. The organisation also runs mobile health clinics and child-friendly spaces in frontline areas, ensuring access to basic services for the most vulnerable.
