About

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. With a network of affiliates in over 90 countries, Oxfam tackles the root causes of poverty and inequality, and responds to humanitarian emergencies worldwide. The organization’s mission is to build lasting solutions to poverty and injustice, focusing on issues such as gender justice, climate change, and economic inequality.

In Ukraine, Oxfam has been operational since 2014, providing humanitarian assistance to conflict-affected populations. The organization focuses on delivering clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) support, food and cash assistance, and protection services. Oxfam works in partnership with local civil society organizations to reach the most vulnerable, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, and the elderly.

Since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, Oxfam has scaled up its emergency response, reaching over 1.5 million people with life-saving aid. The organization provides multipurpose cash assistance, winterization kits, and psychosocial support. Oxfam also advocates for the protection of civilians and respect for international humanitarian law, while supporting local actors to lead the response.
