Medical Teams International is a Christian global health organization that provides life-saving medical care and humanitarian aid to people affected by disaster, conflict, and poverty. Founded in 1979, the organization’s mission is to demonstrate the love of Christ by providing medical and dental care, health education, and disaster relief to those in need, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or nationality.

In Ukraine, Medical Teams International has been active since 2014, initially responding to the conflict in the eastern regions. Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, the organization scaled up its operations significantly. Current programs include mobile medical units providing primary healthcare in hard-to-reach areas, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), protection services for vulnerable populations, and distribution of essential medicines and medical supplies. The organization also supports local health facilities with equipment and training.

Since February 2022, Medical Teams International has reached over 500,000 people in Ukraine with health consultations, mental health support, and essential items. The organization works in close coordination with the Ministry of Health and local partners to ensure a rapid and effective response to the evolving needs of conflict-affected communities, including internally displaced persons and those in frontline areas.
