Medair

Medair is a humanitarian organization inspired by Christian faith, dedicated to relieving suffering in some of the world’s most remote and devastated places. Their mission is to provide emergency relief and recovery assistance to people affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and other crises, regardless of race, religion, or politics. Medair focuses on delivering high-quality, cost-effective aid in health, water, sanitation, and shelter, among other sectors.

In Ukraine, Medair has been operational since 2014, initially responding to the conflict in the east. Following the escalation in February 2022, Medair scaled up its response significantly. The organization works in frontline and hard-to-reach areas, providing emergency healthcare, clean water, hygiene supplies, shelter repairs, and cash assistance. Medair also supports collective centers and hosts distributions for internally displaced persons.

Since the full-scale war began, Medair has reached hundreds of thousands of people with life-saving aid. Their teams have conducted mobile health clinics, rehabilitated water infrastructure, distributed shelter materials, and provided multi-purpose cash assistance. Medair’s response is focused on the most vulnerable, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and families with children, ensuring dignity and resilience in the midst of crisis.
