Organization: International Medical Corps
About
International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Founded in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, the organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide.
In Ukraine, International Medical Corps has been operational since 2014, providing critical health services, mental health and psychosocial support, protection services, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) assistance. The organization works in frontline areas and with internally displaced populations, supporting hospitals, primary health care facilities, and mobile medical units.
Since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, International Medical Corps has rapidly scaled up its emergency response, delivering medical supplies, trauma care, and mental health support to affected communities. The organization has reached hundreds of thousands of people with lifesaving assistance, including through partnerships with local health authorities and other humanitarian actors.
