In Ukraine, Hands of Friends has been active since 2014, focusing on conflict-affected populations in the eastern regions. Their programs include emergency medical assistance, psychosocial support, shelter rehabilitation, and distribution of food and hygiene kits. They also run educational initiatives for children and vocational training for internally displaced persons.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, Hands of Friends has scaled up its emergency response, reaching over 50,000 beneficiaries with life-saving aid. Their mobile medical units provide primary healthcare in frontline areas, while cash assistance programs help families meet basic needs. The foundation continues to adapt its interventions to the evolving crisis, ensuring timely and effective support.
