Organization: Finn Church Aid

About

Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the largest Finnish development cooperation organization and the second largest in Finland. As a member of the ACT Alliance, FCA operates in over 15 countries, focusing on education, livelihoods, and peacebuilding. FCA’s mandate is to support the most vulnerable people, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected states, by promoting quality education, sustainable livelihoods, and peaceful societies.

In Ukraine, FCA has been active since 2014, initially focusing on education and livelihoods in the eastern conflict-affected areas. Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, FCA expanded its operations to include emergency education, protection, shelter, and WASH. FCA works in partnership with local organizations and authorities to reach displaced populations and host communities across the country.

Since 2022, FCA has reached over 200,000 people with emergency assistance, including temporary learning spaces, cash assistance for livelihoods, and winterization support. FCA’s education programs have enabled thousands of children to continue learning, while livelihood support has helped families restore income. FCA continues to adapt its response to the evolving needs of the conflict-affected population.
