About
East SOS Charitable Foundation is a Ukrainian non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting the rights and dignity of people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2014, its mission is to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance and legal support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected communities, advocating for their rights and fostering resilience.
In Ukraine, East SOS operates through a network of regional offices and mobile teams, delivering integrated protection services, including legal aid, psychosocial support, and shelter assistance. The organization also implements livelihood programs to promote economic self-sufficiency and runs educational initiatives for children and adults affected by the war.
Since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, East SOS has scaled up its emergency response, reaching over 200,000 people with critical aid such as food, hygiene kits, and temporary shelter. The foundation continues to support the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly, persons with disabilities, and women-headed households, in both government-controlled and frontline areas.
