About
Arche Nova e.V. is a German non-governmental organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and development assistance worldwide. Founded on the principles of solidarity and self-help, the organization works to support vulnerable populations in crisis-affected regions, focusing on sustainable solutions that empower communities to rebuild their lives. With a mission to alleviate suffering and promote human dignity, Arche Nova operates across multiple sectors including health, protection, shelter, livelihoods, education, and food security.
In Ukraine, Arche Nova has been active since 2014, responding to the humanitarian needs arising from the conflict in the eastern part of the country. The organization implements integrated programs that address the most pressing needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected communities. Key activities include providing emergency medical care, psychosocial support, shelter rehabilitation, distribution of non-food items (NFIs), livelihood support, and access to education for children. Arche Nova works in close coordination with local authorities and partner organizations to ensure effective delivery of aid.
Since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, Arche Nova has scaled up its emergency response to meet the growing needs. The organization has reached thousands of beneficiaries with life-saving assistance, including medical supplies, emergency shelter, cash assistance, and protection services. Arche Nova’s impact is evident in the improved resilience of communities and the restoration of basic services in affected areas. The organization remains committed to staying and delivering in the most challenging environments, adapting its programs to the evolving context of the war in Ukraine.
