Peace-Enforcement

Peace-enforcement is a multinational military intervention, authorized under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, that uses or threatens armed force to restore peace or enforce cease-fires without the consent of all conflicting parties. It applies to interstate or intrastate conflicts, humanitarian emergencies, or failed states. Actions include imposing sanctions, isolating conflict zones, conducting air or missile strikes, and deploying peace forces to disarm or neutralize armed groups.
