Explosive Remnants of War (ERW)

Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) refer to explosive devices that remain in an area after hostilities have ended. These include landmines, unexploded ordnance, abandoned armored vehicles, small arms and light weapons with ammunition in civilian or non-state actor hands, and damaged or abandoned stockpiles of ammunition and explosives.
