Technological Disaster

A technological disaster is a catastrophic event caused by human-made systems, structures, or technologies, including transportation accidents (automobile, rail, aircraft, navigation), structural failures (building collapses, bridge damages due to overload), urban fires from technological malfunctions or explosions (excluding those from social conflict like terrorism), and pollution incidents (release of harmful substances into air, water, or soil at levels endangering health or ecosystems).
