Humanitarian Principles

Humanitarian principles are the ethical and operational guidelines that govern the provision of aid during crises. They consist of humanity, which mandates addressing suffering wherever it occurs and protecting the dignity of all affected individuals; neutrality, which requires that assistance be given without taking sides in political, religious, or ideological conflicts; and impartiality, which demands that aid be distributed based solely on need, without discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, nationality, political views, race, or religion. These principles ensure accountability and prioritize the most vulnerable and urgent cases.
