El Niño

El Niño is a climate phenomenon characterized by the abnormal warming of surface waters in the central and eastern tropical Pacific Ocean, driven by shifts in atmospheric pressure and ocean currents. It typically triggers increased rainfall along the coasts of Peru and Chile, while causing drought conditions in equatorial Africa and Australia.
